You know when you find that one piece of clothing that you really just fall in love with? A piece that you know you’re going to keep in your closet for years and years and years? A piece that just feel SO you as soon as you put it on? That’s how I feel about J.Crew brushed cashmere.

Actually, that’s really how I feel about J.Crew cashmere in general. But that’s an entirely new post I can write…and I absolutely will one day. I know it seems insane to be so obsessed with a sweater. I like to think I give myself a pass because playing with fabrics and styles is my actual job – so let me have this moment;) Let’s talk about it.

J.Crew Brushed Cashmere

But for the sake of this post, I’m going to absolutely rave about J.Crew brushed cashmere. Launched late in 2023, this cashmere immediately became my favorite. It is single-handedly THE best cashmere I’ve ever, ever worn. I never knew something could be so soft and luxurious. Yes, even though I’m a big fan of cashmere, sometimes it could be itchy. But this? 10/10. No notes.

It is incredibly soft – and that is achieved by both long cashmere yarns plus a special wash. But if you’re not into the nitty gritty technical things, all you need to do is put this sweater on. The second I did, I had this “OMG I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE COZY IN MY LIFE” moment. I don’t think I’ve gotten so many compliments on a sweater before. Every time I wear it, Rob is like “Oh I LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE touching this.” You really have to feel it to believe me.

Some other notes on fit and wash:

• Fit is relaxed for sure – you don’t need to size up to get an oversized fit unless you want VERY oversized (which is cool too).
• Doesn’t shed a ton – here and there, but that’s literally any sweater.
• Wash as you would any cashmere sweater – hand wash
